Case Reports

An unusual case of neonatal meningococcal meningitis complicated by subdural empyema and hydrocephalus
Abstract
We report a rare case of neonatal meningococcal meningitis, complicated by subdural empyema and hydrocephalus. To the best of our knowledge only a few cases of neonatal meningococcal meningitis have been reported from South Africa, with none of these cases having the complication of subdural empyema.
